The vitello tonnato, also known as vitello tonne or vitel toné, is a typical dish of traditional Piedmontese cuisine based on veal and the famous tuna sauce, good to serve both as an appetizer and as a second course. Vitello tonnato is the meat appetizer that has been the entrée on holidays such as Easter and Christmas for over half a century.
