Crème caramel

Crème caramel is a type of cream with a layer of liquid caramel on the surface. It differs from crème brûlée, in which the caramel layer is instead hard. The ingredients of crème caramel are milk, eggs, sugar and, usually, vanilla, in quantities that can vary significantly.
